Our services include world-class design, focused sourcing and practiced pattern making, grading and sample development. We have a fully-equipped studio offering customers collaboration with our happy team through the process, from photos or designs or from scratch. Our legendary live fitting skype sessions are always productive.

Sun Things’ factory is located between two oceans and operates in interlinked buildings, with the airport and harbour, just a skip and a jump away. The Sun Things team concentrates on designing and manufacturing super saleable swimwear, along with:

a wide variety of proper cup sizes,
matching beach cover-ups, kimonos and pareos, beach dresses, wraps and skirts,
all co-ordinated with the swimwear products,
and capabilities in maternity and mastectomy swimwear.

We know our figure forms in standard sizes – from babies to plus sizes. We’re very good at adjustable swimwear and at fuller figures.

I wouldn’t be able to survive without Lindy and the Sun Things Team. They are the country’s only supplier of top quality goods with proper cup sizes that aren’t mass market! And they’re amazing to work with.

We sell under our four in-house and many retail-owned brands. We also design and produce for the top independent boutiques. We are expert at interpreting trends and sourcing trims and fabrics as well as prints that perform.
Our customer engagement is built on decades of experience in mass and niche markets, across basics and high ticket fashion items. In fact, we have 27 years of experience at getting our ducks in a row.
Our production process is well designed, refined and practised. Price-wise you should find that we offer a significant advantage over countries like Australia. These advantages are evident across all aspects down to ticketing and packaging.

Across the value chain, our fulfilment capabilities are built on warm, familiar and progressive supplier relationships. Whether in sourcing WOW polyester and nylon fabrics, awesome digital prints, or shipping to foreign ports, we can get a bit pushy, but we are always super-friendly, accommodating and fun to deal with.

We’ve been doing what we do long enough to know what matters. We work hard to understand every client and their needs. We work just as hard in reviews, and have the tech to make deciding easy. Our extensive product sampling means correct fit and comfort, and includes multiple sampling to meet the chains’ fit strategies and buying programmes.
Our exposure to different countries on a number of continents gives us a real understanding of the trend spectrum. We are as adept at the brights as we are at softer, more romantic shades and lines.
We know our lead times and capacities and can design a programme around these aspects to suit enquiries.

THIRST WORLD FABRICS

Domestic fabrics are unavailable in the quality, variety and prices required by our markets, so we’ve established international supply chains to ameliorate the demand peaks and valleys for swimwear production locally. Specialised stretch fabrics are all imported from Spain, Italy, Vietnam and China. Metal trims are sourced locally, with bra cups sourced from China.

SIZZLING DESIGNS ON TAP

Digital printing allows us to turn on quick printed response (on demand) to international customers’ needs. Our prices are amazing and you get costs ex works along with a one-stop shop- from design to retail - without having to travel half way around the world to find it.

REMOTE CONTROL PROCESSES AND LOGISTICS

We are good at keeping our customers satisfied and in the loop throughout the process. We do, after all live in a digital village. We employ the services of International Shipping experts to handle the import and clearing of raw material from China and their global export capabilities will assist Sun Things in serving your needs effectively and efficiently.

Led by the business and marketing head, Graham Greathead - former Apple brand builder in Cape Town - and controlled by the deft financial wizardry of co-owner and Chief Financial Officer, David Heyneke, the business is now perfectly set up to respond to the design experience, range development and finely crafted handle that Lindy Sanderson has in abundance.

Beyond that, we have a very well run factory and in-house skills across all the categories and functions.
